Foodies Festival comes to Leeds

For all you out there who love food, i stumbled across an advertisement for a Foodies Festival at Roundhay Park on 2, 3 & 4th July.

Tickets are £10 for adults and children under 16 are free when accompanied by an adult. Sounds like a good day out (better than the recent Malton Food Lovers Festival i visited, but that's another story).

Various Michelin stared and top chefs will be cooking signature dish in a live theater and plenty of places to try all the yummy offerings.

I think im going to try get along to watch Mohammed Aslam of Aagrah and Vivek Kashiwale the The Bird on the Sunday.

This is where it starts.

Well after years of cooking, watching and enjoying food I thought it was about time to share my love affair with everyone else.

My love for food started when I was young. When i say young i mean i had to stand on a chair to help my gran in the kitchen. Nowadays I like nothing better than spending hours in the kitchen trying a new dish or going out to a restaurant and drooling over a menu trying to pick what to have.

Personally I feel we have lost what food is all about. The Spanish and Italians have it right, food is for shearing and enjoying. I'm not saying every meal has to be a huge feast but should bring people together.

Hope you will enjoy seeing my blog evolve. I will write about some of the place I visit and might even post the odd recipe. If you have any thoughts or suggestions please let me know.
